We have the ability to treat adolescents 15 years and older, and adults based on a case by case evaluation:
This includes Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Postpartum Depression, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, Seasonal Affective Disorder
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder
attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
Work will involve finding which developmental differences in the brain that affect you. Sessions can help with controlling attention, concentration, impulsivity, activity levels and memory in adolescents and adults.
In my practice, I prescribe medications to help alleviate your suffering when appropriate and safe.
These can often work quickly and effectively. However, I never solely rely on psychiatric medications as a complete “fix.”
I am always mindful of other treatment modalities, such as therapy, nutrition modification, sleep hygiene, and physical fitness, each of which, research shows, can alleviate symptoms.
I offer an integrative approach toward wellness that is evidence-based. I am able to provide a synthesis of these treatment modalities. I offer brief therapy, solution focused brief therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or Motivational Interviewing, and if your therapy needs are greater than what I can/do provide, I am able to provide a referral to an appropriate therapist.
The limitations of availability does not allow us to provide immediate crisis intervention. In case of an emergency, call 911 or go to your closest Emergency Room for immediate help.
Referrals can be provided for a higher level of care as needed such as: inpatient services, partial hospitalization day programs, or clinics if you require more intensive services to help you cope with any crisis you might be dealing with.
In case of a crisis, please call the crisis resource line at 211 or the 24 hour crisis line at (206) 461-3222.
